I'm Not Alone - By Riva Pomerantz

She painted a banner for Stalin’s birthday — and then destroyed it with her own hands. She faked injuries to observe Shabbos under Soviet eyes. She risked everything for the Torah.

Born into the brutality of Soviet Russia, Cyla Zobin grew up in a world where being a Jew was a crime and every rap on the door could be the calling card of the Angel of Death. Her childhood was a treacherous journey: evading anti-Semitic bullies, watching neighbors snatched by the NKVD in the dead of night, and boldly standing up to her teachers to keep Shabbos.

But through hunger, persecution, loss, and fear, one thing never changed: Cyla's unshakable connection to Hashem. Her faith was unwavering. It carried her further than fear ever could.

In I'm Not Alone, the true story of one orphaned girl’s incredible life unfolds in riveting, breathtaking detail. You'll meet a spunky, determined heroine with a single mission: to fulfil Hashem’s will whatever the cost. Cyla held on to one unshakable truth: "Ich hub a Tatte." I have a Father.

It wasn’t just a belief — it was a lifeline. This unwavering emunah and bitachon fueled her courage to defy a brutal regime and outsmart the secret police with her head held high. From the dangerous streets of Soviet Koidanov to the rugged mountains of Georgia, through the scarred landscapes of postwar Europe, onward to a vibrant Torah life in Canada and the United States, her life was extraordinary. Join Cyla on this breathtaking journey — and discover the truth she lived by: A JEW IS NEVER ALONE.
